Mr. Tariq Karim
Consul General of Pakistan in Chicago
The establishment of the Pakistani American Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce marks a significant milestone for the Pakistani-American community in the Midwest.
As the Consul General of Pakistan in Chicago, I recognized the lack of a dedicated platform to represent and support our growing and vibrant Pakistani-American business community. At that time, there was no chamber of commerce or organized body to bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals under a shared voice.
To address this gap, I advocated for the creation of the Chamber—an institution committed to advancing economic collaboration, promoting trade opportunities, and serving as a representative voice for Pakistani-American businesses across the U.S. Midwest.
It is encouraging to see this vision realized through the collective efforts of the community, especially Mr. Naveed Anwar, President, and Dr. Tariq Butt, Chairman of the Chamber.
As the Chamber continues to grow, I am confident it will serve as a valuable bridge between Pakistan and the United States—supporting entrepreneurship, strengthening economic ties, and deepening the longstanding bonds between our two nations.
I extend my full support and best wishes for the Chamber’s continued success.
Warm Regards
Tariq Karim
